In banking, he rose to Managing Director by age 31, where he led retail branch banking for markets including Los Angeles Metro and oversaw the integration of 50 branches following the acquisition of Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. He capped that chapter by leading the launch of a national digital hybrid bank that opened 22 financial centers and 2 call centers, amassing over $1 billion in deposits in its first month. He is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, the nation’s premier graduate-level program for senior banking executives, established in 1938 and nationally recognized for its rigorous leadership and finance curriculum. He later served as an Executive Student Advisor, mentoring future industry leaders. At 36, Adam transitioned into the automotive aftermarket industry, a shift that coincided with his family’s move from Southern California to North Idaho.
He served as COO and later President of a suspension manufacturing company, leading the business through explosive growth - driving a 3X increase in revenue and 4X growth in net profits while securing partnerships with iconic brands including Winnebago, Airstream, John Deere, Thor, and Tiffin. His focus on brand positioning, operational systems, and direct-to-consumer expansion helped establish the company as a market leader.
In 2023, Adam left the automotive industry in response to God’s call to lead a business for Jesus from the front door. He assumed leadership of
Sherman Portfolios, a firm that pledged to give 51% of its net profits to charity to advance the Gospel. In less than two years, Sherman Portfolios has scaled from $86 million to over $1.3 billion in assets under management, while undergoing a rebrand, an operational overhaul, and securing its first two patents, positioning the firm as an innovation leader in the advisory space.
In addition to leading Sherman Portfolios, Adam invests in equipping business leaders through writing and teaching. He publishes
The King’s Business, a weekly newsletter for Christian business owners and leaders. He is currently authoring
The Dispensable CEO, a forthcoming book on building what he calls
